I cannot help but think the eagle logo looks like a Greyhound. And who wants to be associated with THAT image?

While I have gotten used to the new look for American, I still hate it.

I totally agree the current AA livery will never compare to any of their historical liveries.

Hate it or love it they had no choice with the 787 and when you merge you kind of have to.
But I did love the no look with no paint - classic!

While I don't like the tail, I like the rest, overall. The tails have been grey for a long time. Why couldn't they have left the AA Eagle in place on the vertical stabilizer where it was?

We had silverbird. Now we have ol' pianotail.

Yeah, it looks like the screen image you used to get on portable TVs with hoop aerials that couldn't be tuned in right

Fugly, just Fugly...
Even if they had to tweek their logo, they should have painted the 787 with a metallic silver paint and kept polishing the legacy planes.

Pat Smith of Ask The Pilot has a simple fix to the new American livery that would suddenly improve it 1000% with just a small amount of paint…

This article is incorrect the first aircraft to be painted in the new AA livery was a B738 3JT/N908NN.

The debut of 3JT in the new livery was sometime in January of 2013, but not the 31st. One of the press release event for it at JFK was held on 1/25/13.

Hopefully this livery lasts as long as the ill-fated Deltaflot livery
