Tires and light bulbs are easy to change because they fail often. To lose four at once is unusual, and to taxi on the rims is always a bad decision, but there is really nothing to see here.

Not the CEO but the pilots of the AC do as it was there decision to taxi in having the mains flat.

You think this pilot will be talking to his Chief Pilot maybe?

There must be a dolly for that. The tarmac must have hugh ruts now. There goes my nose gear...

I doubt Hugh Ruts is on the Tarmac.

Is this something that would be readily apparent by the crew? Or would they need to be informed? I'm guessing the main indictors would be a list and a pull to the side. If anyone has experience with something like this, I'd be interested in a first hand account of what it would actually be like.

The flight crew is a persistent bunch of dumbasses.

If it takes half power to taxi to the gate, you may have some issues with the wheels.

I think taxi off the active, and shut down would have been a prudent call. Deplane the passengers to a couple of buses and tow to the repair facility. Interesting that no fire equipment visible while the a/c was taxiing?

Like Stephen Colbert said a month ago "Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, AND BETTER CALL MY LAWYER!" would be a wise thing to do right now.

Someone needs to check the air pressure on the left main gear and if they are low it isa pretty good chance the ones or at least one or more were low on the side that blrw. The most common reason for blown tires on landing is one or more tires being low.

Clever stuff! a precautionary main bogie change vs a probable 4-wheel change like it might have been?

AA, has a good on time record, I will not taxi my plane even with on blown tire, but in a south America busy airport, it's safer to get the hell out of an active runway, or a busy taxiway. It's PIC decision to save the day.

And that statement has what to do with this thread? Use the I don't like AA web site for that comment.

While it may have to do with AA, blown tires doesn't have much to do with in flight meals or a,b,c, and d checks. There needs to be talking to a flight crew about a hard landing or mx about running a set of tires too long.

And to boot, ain't many places that you don't have at least 1 airline choice these days. Fly the other one.
