Read elsewhere that he slid off the highspeed taxiway. That would mean he was a bit too aggressive in getting off the runway.

I am also seeing that too. It's the tweets that said runway, so it is most likely a highspeed taxiway.

I just cannot see how you can spend all that money on that huge Denver facility and you have accidents due to icy pavements. Can you?

Southwest Airlines Flight Slides off Taxiway After Landing in Snow at Denver

A Southwest Airlines flight slid off a high-speed taxiway after landing in heavy snow at Denver International Airport (DEN) on Saturday afternoon.

Southwest Flight 1905, a Boeing 737-700 with 125 passengers and 5 crew, landed at Denver (coming from Oakland) at about 5 PM amid freezing temperatures and snowfall. After touching down, the 737 reportedly was on a taxiway making a turn when it slid on to the grass.

Passengers were taken off the plane using an auxillary stairway at the rear of the aircraft (see photo).

Passengers were taken to the British Airways lounge. There were no injuries.
