For all you BOEING fans...EXCELLENT Blog by VP of Marketing for Commerical Aircraft Randy Tinseth
This is the home page of Randy's Journal, hosted by Randy Tinseth, vice president, marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Seattle. Great source for all things BOEING and commercial aviation. (boeingblogs.com) Plus d'info...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
I was wondeing - when Boeing builds the 797 what will be next? Why do their aircraft have the 7#7 numbering? Any history on this at all?
the 700 series of aircraft sir
The 707 was the first of the 700 series, which was the designation for Boeing jets. 707 sounded cooler than 700 or 701. Previous series were two digits and three digits such as Boeing 40, Boeing 247 or 314.
Nothing new, nothing more than a regular salesman pitch.
What comes after the 797? Perhaps it should be the 7107, the 7117 and so on?
The whole thing was beautiful! Only one little mistake slipped in, COMMERICAL Aircraft? What happened to spelling that day?
