LATE LAST NIGHT, LISA LEE AND HER SCHOOL-AGE DAUGHTER FLYING HOME TO BALTIMORE AFTER A FLORIDA VACATION, SAYS THE POT EXPERTLY STEERED THEM THROUGH SOME TERRIBLE TURBULANCE, AND LAND. >> THEN LIKE, WE’RE DRIVING WE’RE RIDING AND I SEE A PICKUP TRUCK AND I’M LIKE OH. IT’S JUST A NORMAL PICK UP TRUCK AND THEN YOU JUST HEAR BOOM. BOOM. TRUCK CRASHED INTO THE PLANE. I FELT THE BOOM. IT WAS LIKE BOOM. AND THEN IT WAS JUST LIKE A LITTLE SHIFT AND I’M LIKE WE JUST HIT SOMETHING. KATE HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? : HOW DOES A GIANT SOUTHWEST JET PLANE COLLIDE WITH A REGULAR-SIZED-SOUTHWEST PICK-UP TRUCK? NOT TO MENTION, DURING THE WHOLE CAREFULLY CHOREOGRAPHED TAXI TO THE GATE? IT IS A QUESTION LISA LEE IS -- LISA LEI IS ASKING TODAY AND ONE SOUTHWEST IS BEGINNING TO ANSWER. IN A STATEMENT AMONG THE 172 PASSENGERS. THE APP CRAFT -- AIRCRAFT IS OUT OF SERVICE. Ground vehicle collided with plane near gated area

A ground vehicle at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport collided with a Southwest Airlines plane near a gated area overnight, officials said.Southwest Flight 6263, which was arriving in Baltimore from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was pulling into a gate around 12:06 a.m. Monday when a Southwest pickup truck came in contact with the plane, officials said.Several passengers sent 11 News pictures of the collision before and after getting off the plane."How can you crash into a big Southwest plane?" questioned Flight 6263 passenger Lisa Lei.No one on the plane, or in the truck, was injured. All 172 passengers were able to get off the plane using airstairs."As we landed, I was just really relieved that we landed, and then we're driving to the gate, and I'm watching the truck drive, and I'm, like, 'Oh. The truck is just driving,' you know? And then the truck disappears and I hear -- BOOM! BOOM! -- I'm, like, 'The truck just hit the plane? Or the plane just hit the truck? Either way, we hit something,'" Lei said.Lei was on the impact-side of the plant and said she felt the hit. She said she is glad her daughter slept through the whole thing."I felt the boom. It was, like, BOOM! And then it was just like a little shift, and I'm, like, 'We just hit something,'" Lei said.Officials are still investigating what caused the collision. The plane was put out of service.It is just the latest in several incidents involving a Southwest Airlines plane. Last week, a window cracked on a flight causing an emergency landing. Last month, an engine explosion caused debris to break a window, partially sucking a passenger outside. She later died at the hospital after the incident.
