WestJet Begins Toronto-St. John’s-Dublin Service
Route Marks Carrier’s First Transatlantic Flights
WestJet announced the launch of new daily flights between Toronto and Dublin, Ireland, with a stopover in St. John’s, Canada. The new route is the first scheduled transatlantic service in the airline’s history.
Flights depart Toronto at 5:15 p.m. and arrive in St. John’s at 9:44 p.m. From St. John’s, flights then depart at 11:15 p.m. and arrive in Dublin at 7:00 a.m. Flights from Dublin to Toronto depart Dublin at 8:20 a.m. and arrive in St. John’s at 9:55 a.m., where they then depart at 11:25 a.m. and arrive in Toronto at 1:21 p.m.
Flights operate using Boeing 737-700 aircraft, equipped with 18 seats in economy plus, and 118 seats in economy. Seats in economy plus are 17” wide, and have a pitch of 36” to 40”.
WestJet is a Canadian low-cost carrier, and was founded in 1996. It has hubs at Calgary International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport.
