Forget the 747. Look at that 2 piper from "down under". Royal Australian Navy surplus?

I know nothing about boats and or ships Chris. I would say yes!
Andre Blanchard
Beautiful!
the ship has no registrations so i assume it is a pleasure boat . the 747 cannot be indentified ??
Philip Goldsby
The vessel is similar to those used for coastal hydrographic surveying. It's smaller than those in the RAN, though. The lack of identification is unusual.

What a great shot.

Excellent shot!
Phil Townrow
The flag on the stern in not RAN. Looks like a civilian now.

The Queen of the Skies! Great pic!
Chris Croft
Back up your assertion Phil. What country does that flag represent?

Flag of Australia. Nice boat, would look better on Lake Michigan with me at the helm 8-)
Paul Ellis
Great photo! And as an ex-Royal Australian Navy member, I can't recall that type of boat in the fleet. If it was an RAN vessel, it looks like it is at anchor and if at anchor it would have the RAN white ensign flying at the stern, the Australian flag flying in the bow, and it doesn't look to have a commissioning penant flying on the mast. As Philip Goldsby says, the lack of identification is unusual.
Chris Croft
It's clearly not an active or reserve RAN vessel anymore. If it was it would have a hull number. It was probably sold as surplus and stricken from the Fleet. As far as identification, find the hull number and the mystery is solved.
