— — - The Aeroshell flight team was performing at dusk to kick off the nighttime aerial performances at the 2022 Sun N Fun airshow. The AT-6 Texans with their smoke engaged and brilliant aircraft lights combined with the evening sky came together perfectly to create a beautiful image. I shot this with my Canon 100-400mm IS II lens at the focal length of 135mm. Camera settings were 1/200 shutter, F5, ISO 1600. Please check out my other aviation photography. Great combination of colour ramp behind the aeroplane silhouettes and the golden trailing glow and smoke trail behind each plane! Even as an icon it grabs my attention.

On this date in 1957 I came within one second of demolishing one of these beautiful flying machines, along with myself, of course. It remains one of the most vivid of life's memories and any sight of an SNJ (sorry, Navy lingo) immediately captures my full attention. Thank you for this superb photo. It has more than made my day!
