Boeing 747-400 (VH-OEH) - This QANTAS 747 has just landed at LAX and is turning toward the international terminal. The big buildings of downtown Los Angeles, California USA shimmer in the distance, about 15 miles north. The name of this plane is Hervey Bay. This is a town of about 76,000 people that is the humpback whale watching capital of Australia. It is about 180 miles north of Brisbane on the east side of Australia. Just as a refresher, QANTAS is an acronym of the letters from Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services founded in 1920. It is Australias largest airline and probably the oldest continuously operating airline in the world.
