Lockheed C-130 Hercules (N31096)
LC130H of the Antarctic Division of the USAF doing a low fly over at Wanaka, New Zealand
Comments
Great stuff Glenn . Wanaka has to be one of the best venues for aircraft shows in the World. Warbirds over Wanaka is the best.
Antarctic, not Antartic...see this all the time.
Looks like he's trying out for a job as a crop duster
All four are nicely synced and humpin' the power out!
Vincent, it was an innocent typo and duly corrected. Thanks for picking it up
I would assume N31096 is the registration mark or tail number of the aircraft. If this were so, why would a USAF military machine bear a civilian number?
I typed in the tail number into the box, but for some reason it put an N at the front
The aircraft is assigned to the 109th AIr Lift Wing New York Air National Guard
Love wanaka...met my wife there in 2008 when in the USAF.was at the show...great memories
Nice shot!
Tail number is 93-1096
