Fortunately for me, the shallow-angle climbout made it possible for my first-ever capture of a CTANG aircraft to include a backdrop of autumn color. With the below-freezing temperatures that our area has now been enjoying nightly for the past month, the next strong wind that comes from over the Sierra Nevada ridgeline will strip away those colorful leaves and it will be bare branches again until next spring.

Well done, Gary!

Hi, Greg. Thank you VM. Your newest look super! Had one on a big screen. (Tip of my USSPS cap.) Hey, hi, R. Yep, it was you I was referring to. We were meeting together and your name came up. (It does sometimes, usually in some offhand funny reference.) We figured I could motivate you to jump on and sure enough, you did. Easily manipulated. Poor soul. (lolol) Don't dwell on it. (Grin)

Hi Gary!..thanks for those comments (I'm 62). This is a great shot of the C130 climbing out. Was he going nonstop to his home base in Windsor Locks CT? I just read the accident report about the C130 that crashed back in April soon after departure from Savannah Hilton Head GA (that crew was headed for Arizona, I believe). But I think that involved an older Hercules than this 1974 H model that you captured here...

Great Shot Gary. Can I ask what Camera and Lens combo you are using?

Darryl, Cade, Bart, and T .... TYVM, guys. Very much appreciate the comments. Bart ... I am so sorry it took me so long to reply to your question. I get involved in photo projects and forget to look back. Just did a Motocross race. To answer your question ... I have four cameras, all Canon. This was with a Canon T7i and TAMRON 18-400 lens. Chris ... Hey, if you are interested, I send (occasional) shares to folks via email. Not overwhelming, just every so often. Email me at [email protected] , then watch for a reply from a different email (you will know it is me easily). Greg ... I thought I already sent the new one, but apparently not. Will send. Tom ... Will be emailing to your addy.
