Airbus A300F4-600 (N142UP)
Outbound off 16L enroute to Muhammad Ali International (KSDF).
Comments
Wonderful view of an angle seldom seen!
These A300's are rocket ships. Just look at the track log of some of the flights down below. 4000-5000fpm climbs, and that is assuming they are loaded. Great Photo!
Calendar! 5x
Great shot!
Very nice Gary...............
Heat signature really shows up against the mountain !!

Interesting perspective Gary. Where did you take this shot from? At first I thought maybe from the GSR, but angle is not right for that.
Steve, Alien, Frank T, and Ken >>> Thanx, guys. Certainly appreciate the comments and complis. UPS and FDX send us the biggest equipment we see here and there is never a bad shot when one of these is in the viewfinder.
Spencer >> You're absolutely right! Departures of these big Busses look more like blastoffs than takeoffs. Totally awesome! I always position at a certain thousand foot marker and stand at Charlie which is parallel to, and immediately next to, the runway. And when these birds come straight at me and then rotate right in front of me, the shot is spectacular. TYVM for your comment.
Bill >>> Hey, howdy, Bill. How you doing? Hope all is well in the Capital. Hey, I'm definitely willing to answer your question; however, the word is out everywhere here that there's a paparazzi-type around. (If you recall, there was one a few years back.) I'm still going to be hosting occasional tours around, and on, RNO for photogs -AFTER they are checked to insure they respect privacy and etc- and you are very welcome to participate. But for the time being, giving info here in FA would merely provide good info to the amb chaser. In fact, we were at a meeting with an RNO FBO exec just 48 hours ago and we agreed to "open our eyes and close our mouths" [his words]. Another agency at the airport is on board too. But hey, you've got my e/mail. Message me and perhaps I can reply without you having to make the drive north. (Wave) "G"
