Boeing 737-900 (N419AS)
This is a B739! With Alaska titles!
On Friday, this one appeared on the RNO Arrivals list .... from Seattle. The last time we had an ASA B739 was two weeks after the Covid slowdown. Since then, all RNO has seen at the Alaska/Horizon gates have been QXE Dash 8s and E75s. Nothing with as many seats as this beauty.
Until yesterday ...
Then again today ...
And again tomorrow ....
Alaska is flying Boeing birds here again. The "Covid Crash" is history.

Yesterday, the parking garage and surface parking lots were FULL. The pax are back!! And the airlines are swapping out their smaller aircraft for bigger birds with more seats to transport them. Air travel is booming again - FINALLY!

My only flights on -900s was with Alaska and many SJC-SEA and back early 2000s when dad was in the hospital. I could book a flight Wed before the weekend, for the 0900am departure. Walk in the old Terminal C at San Jose, ask for the 25.00 upgrade to 1st Class, no problem, walk on the jet 10 mins later and be one of 2 in first Class, in window seat 3 on the left.....great 5x Gman photo and as Darryl says,,,Frame it!
