Boeing 737-800 (N843SY)
The setting sun (reflected on the front end of the port engine nacelle as it is just about to descend below the ridge of the Sierra Nevada) casts its final daytime rays on SCX's recently acquired B738 (N843SY) as it passes me on its short final to 34L at the end of a flight from Indianapolis (KIND).

SCX acquired this B738 in December of last year (2021). Previous to then, this had been a COMAIR (S. Africa) fleetbird wearing British Airways paint (COMAIR was a BA franchisee).
Sadly, about 15 hours ago, a court decision was made to dissolve COMAIR. The COVID pandemic led to financial difficulties that the airline was not able to overcome.
