Boeing 747-400 (N936CA)
National Cargo's N936CA, a Boeing 744 named "Lori" and wearing National's "30 Glorious Years ..." sticker, is just reaching Vr speed as it accelerates down 17L to take off for a flight to Charleston Air Force Base/International Airport (KCHS).
A couple of hours earlier, N936CA, operating as CMB 451 (US Transportation Command Flt 451), had arrived from Nadi, Fiji (NAN/KFFN). Shortly before N936CA had landed at Reno, an OAE B762 had landed at RNO after a flight from Fiji (NAN) with an intermediate stop at Honolulu (PHNL). Since both this National and the Omni Air had originated their flights from Fiji, it would seem that both were involved in the same transport assignment.

The OAE B762 had departed prior to this NCR departure, and the Omni had proceeded to Fort Worth (KAFW). Also of note ... An Atlas Air B744 had been at RNO very recently (about 2 weeks ago) and when it departed (photo posted in my folder), it had flown to Honolulu and then it had continued on to Fiji (NAN).
WOW! Amazing shot and catch of the Queen G-Man! This one should be framed - 5*'s and worth many many more!
Great shot Gary! taken from near the taxiway Juliet intersection. Maybe a bit more than four hours heading eastbound with typically a tailwind, for her to reach KCHS.
KCHS is Charleston, South Carolina, not West Virginia. Yeager International in Charleston, WV is KCRW
Jay F. >>> TYVM for catching my error. I've erased the words "... in West Virginia".
(Hardly anyone pays any attention to erroneous info in this gallery but I definitely always try to be correct with the info I add, so I truly appreciate you letting me know that I had the wrong state. Thanx. -Wave- gcs)
Darryl & Chris >> Hey, guys, Howdy ... and TY for the Comments. (Thumbs up)
