Lockheed C-130 Hercules —

Interesting shot
Fantastic shot. I Can hear engines roaring
I miss the sound of 4 bladed Sky Pigs. The 6 bladed ones flying out of Dobbins/Lockheed just do not sound the same.
Yeah, but, the upgrades and the new prop gives the airplane a larger payload. We’ll get to see the airplane we all love for many more years.
SPECTACULAR shot! Thanks for sharing.
Shot.
I remember learning to fly in Cheyenne, Wy. I reported in to the tower on downwind for Rwy 8 and there was a line that look just like this waiting for takeoff on Rwy 26. Was told to extend my downwind so they could depart. I'm thinking, I'll be in Utah by the time this happens.
Notice the UARRSI refueling mod over the cockpit? Likely MC-130Js.
Really great shot!
Charles Mills, I grew up in Cheyenne. I was very little, but I remember the NG using the Connies, and was so disappointed when they went away and were replaced by the Hercs. C-130 is now probably in my top 3 favorite planes ever. I never grew tired of watching them do touch-and-goes. Workhorses all the way.
Love that pic; back in 1981 at Dyess AFB, we launched on one occasion 44 out of 47 C-130H scheduled at the same time (3 aircraft did not make it off the ground for maintenance issues). What a sight it was, the smell of JP-4, the smoke and the sound of all those aircraft was incredible.
Brings back memories of crewing on RNZAF C130's. Once a year it was the thing to do a 5 ship formation and While I was always on board, it is evident from this shot that it was an impressive sight on the ground. Loved those T-56 Allisons. thanks Sajima for a great shot.
These must be JASDF -130's. The scheme is not the current US one. It looks similar to the old "Euro 1" scheme.
Nice shot.
Nice shot.
Very nice shot
The supply train.
Great composition!
If you look very closely at the first and third birds, you can just make out the Rising Sun insignia on the fuselage.
Thank you for many comments

Awesome.
That is an air frame that will never die.
That is an air frame that will never die.
Reminds me of Dyess AFB back in the 80's.
