I saw this bird fly over my house last Saturday on it's trip from Aurora, Oregon to Mankato, Minnesota. The unmistakable roar of the engines definitely got my attention.
DC-# is always a 5 Star

I forgot... the PW engine are not roaring.. they play classic music!!!!!
My father flew these in The Hump in WW2. Got shot down by the Japs. Crash landed in a field and all crew survived.
14 type ratings and the only one I ever paid for was a DC-3. (6 hrs total time). I remember as a kid riding up and down the Central Valley on United DC-3's and feeling so smart because I knew why the tail came up on takeoff and then went down a little. (I still know why but nobody's ever asked me. Rats.)
