Very interesting. An F-35 with a civilian registration number of a Weilage Boon helicopter. Good photo though I have to admit.
The correct ICAO type code for all F35 variants is F35.
Jimmy, that's a Royal Norwegian Air Force F35. The symbol near the engine intake is the Norwegian roundel. The number on the tail does not have the prefix "N" so it's not a US civil aircraft. The only mystery is why it was seen at an Italian air force base!
Thanks for posting Theo, but please change the ICAO type code to F35, which applies to all 3 variants.
