Lockheed C-130 Hercules (16-5161)
Comments
the beast!!!
Probably the most versatile aircraft that the Air Force has, especially with the new props!
ditto to my previous comment. Perfect speed to catch the props.
A C-130T??? I had 2,500 hours on H Models and I kinda pay attention, this is the first time I've heard of this! But what a great airplane. If my life depended on getting out of Dodge, the sound of those engines reversing on an assault landing would be music to my ears! Move, move, move! Let's go, let's go, let's go!!!"
Awesome pic with those props Jmorgan.
Rode these guys with pallets of '05 ammo or pallets of chow. All the same to me except that the ride ended badly only once but I'm still alive these fifty years ago so it was all good. Loved the ride and now getting to watch NCIS with Gibbs and Tony and the rest with their ear protection and actually "flak" jackets and all the other military shows brings back some happy and some not so happy memories. Best memory if all is riding with the "Jarhead Air Line" from An Hoa to Da Nang in March, 1970 after 29 months in country.
