very nice
Thank You
They must be very confident of not having any kind of a technical issue during turnaround if they are taking her into Goose Bay at this time of year. Great shot!
Anyone know why this Korean Air jet has a Canadian registration ? Leased plane, perhaps ? or it is a new jet bound for Korea but has a temporary Canadian registration ?
This a Bombardier CS 300 and was built in Montreal and therefore retains the registration of Canada, until it is officially handed over to the purchasing airline, in this case Korean Air. Airline livery is painted prior to delivery to the airline. In this case the a/c is undergoing final predelivery tests before being sent to Korea. If you do a search of aircraft registries, you will find that whether Boeing, Airbus, Dassault, Bombardier etc, they all start out life with the registry of the country of manufacture, and that will show in records and logs til the aircraft ends service.
love the color against the snowy backdrop. Nice pic
Kudos to Dan Drimmie here on the very thorough and informative answer. Obviously, very spot-on for this specific instance, but useful in any, when trying to interpret registry issues. Nicely done, Dan.
