Am I interpreting that photo correctly in that it’s approaching the sound barrier? I had to look it up to confirm if it was a rumor or not - 2002 air show in Traverse City MI where I live near had several downtown storefront windows blown out when they accidentally went supersonic. Quick search shows that much further into the past a similar instance happened at a show in Canada.

pohlcatace14 the vapes mean the plane is approaching 90-95% mach 1. the aerodynamics is creating a high pressure toward the rear of the aircraft, while creating a low pressure in front, in which condensed water (vapor) can't keep up, so it moves to the rear. once it breaks the sound barrier the vapor will continue to move farther back, and even behind the aircraft

Vero Beach, Florida has an airshow every other year. Love to watch these birds “dance” in the sky over our home! And the thunder is music to my ears!
