Why Does Your United Airlines Flight Attendant Look So Unhappy? Here's Why

Nice to hear from their perspective, however, there is nothing keeping them from quitting and moving onto something else. Most Asian/Middle East carriers employ young people to fit the roles, who truly love the job, and from what I've seen and heard and after experiencing flying an Asian carrier, delivers top notch service. No question the job isn't hard, but maybe its something that is supposed to be enjoyed for a few years and not 40. After reading the article it seems this FA as well as others are just tired of the role. The role is meant to be for someone who loves people, service, travel of course.

Not saying age is everything, but the role is more geared toward the younger generation in my opinion...

Good comments Tom! I totally agree. Has become mostly a low cost industry with associated low cost behaviour from many passengers..

it's a tough job... wouldn't want it... lots of responsibility, not paid enough...not enough respect for what they do every flight let alone what they're expected to do when the stuff hits the fan..

I have generally found the flight attendants on most United flights to be sincere and friendly. However, I believe I generally fly with former Continental crews.

I also think United's current CEO and management team is doing everything they can to make it a great airline.

I find it bothersome when people double space every sentence as though it were a new sub-chapter.
