Not really sure why ATW is calling this news. 25L/7R and 25R/7L at LAX have been closed off and on for 6 - 8 months at a time over the past 2 years and hasn't been a problem.
The possibility of making an airport in the sea has been studied and rejected due
to economics and weather problems.
If you know A.I.A.as i do this is a major thing to them.Staying within a time fraim is not there strong suite
