EX Air NZ DC10-30 aircraft arrived un noticed stored in old DC10 hanger at NZAA
The kiwi carrier air new zealand had suprisingly brought back one of it's former classic aircraft from it's fleet which were sold in 1982. ZK-NZS arrived early hours Monday morning at NZAA and was quickly dashed to the hanger where it remains out of sight from view. The former aircraft was leased to LAN CHILE AIRLINES and later sold to American Airlines. the aircraft was refurbished and taken out of Majove storage facility and flown drect to NZAA as TE 5055A a specail flight. Are you kidding me??? there are no more in passenger service unless it's not certified from the FAA maybe to be grounded permanently. However ZK-NZS yes a former DC10-30 REGO will be active as a Boeing 787-919 for delivery 2017 into the fleet
