CEO of Delta, Richard Anderson, to Retire
Richard Anderson, CEO of Delta, will retire in May. Current President, Ed Bastian, will step into the role of CEO. Richard Anderson's career at Delta will be remembered by the purchase of a 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic, as well as the purchase of an oil refinery. He has been able to raise profits for the airline, negotiate solid agreements with employees and has consistently improved the airlines on-time percentage. It is pretty obvious the corporate succession plan is good....the stock price for Delta barely moved. Good managers recruit and retain good people around them.
