About That Airplane Part That Was Supposed to Solve the MH370 Mystery ...

Soumis

It is over a month since a piece of a Boeing 777 washed up on the Indian Ocean island of La Réunion, but French investigators are no closer to confirming that the part came from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. In fact, leaks from within the investigation suggest that the part might not have come from the plane at all. (nymag.com) Plus d'info...

And the saga continues, and how many triple 7's have been scrapped?

Well at least it only got on here once. Nice that they gave it a break but how true the story is. I tend to think its off of another AC but who knows at this point due to the fact the Frogs got the cops involved rather than send it to Boeing or have there experts come over and view it. Ho HUM another day passes quietly.
ChrisMKUK
Not sure why Boeing experts were needed when the part was made by Airbus Defense and Space (ADS-SAU) in Spain. It was one of their technicians who made the final confirmation.

Well come on rock star, it is evident to the dimmest bulb that MH370 was not scrapped. The article made reference to a statement that the part may have come off a similar aircraft that was scrapped. The history of the 777 would tell you that very few have been scrapped and none in proximity to where this part was found! Read the article.

+++ BREAKING NEWS +++

Julian Bray reports: In an amazing turnaround French authorities in Paris are now saying the recovered Flaperon wing assembly part recovered from a beach is definitely from the crashed Boeing 777.

The Malaysian authorities had earlier said they were certain the recovered debris was from the missing aircraft but the French investigators refused to recognise the Malaysian claim, and demanded further extensive laboratory tests in Paris.

Investigators matched an etched serial number on the flaperon, which washed shore on the French island on July 29, directly to component parts used in the manufacture of the missing Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 plane.

A technician from Airbus Defense and Space (ADS-SAU) in Spain, which had originally made the part under contract for Boeing, conclusively matched the missing data to their own records.

Trying to work out what is amazing about this!
The French authorities have never said it wasn't from the missing aircraft so their announcement can hardly be described as a turnaround.

The French refused to CONFIRM the flaperon was linked, as the full article explains. It is an amazing turnaround aas the Malaysians had a month ago claimed the Flaperon was from the missing 777.
ChrisMKUK
What amazing nonsense!
They refused to confirm until the part had been correctly authenticated.
So, I repeat, how could it be a turnaround?

Remind me on what basis did the Malaysian's make their hasty claim?

The amazing breaking news appears to be the Julian got his blog online, and is trying to plug it here. He fails to mention how much he is making hourly on the internet in his spare time.

Joel you appear to have a money fixation, and I don't have any spare time. How much money do you make from a free blog on blogger? Explain your post properly and you might get a very full answer. The amazing part is that not only has it been authenticated but the debris recovered part is 2,500 miles away from the search zone AND there are still no plans to move the search zone. The flaperon appears to have floated end up, 90%. below water acquiring different strands of 'foreign' barnacles on the way. Its also amazing as the debris part had no serial tags attached...

Allow me to explain.

First, your post by Julian Bray "Julian Bray reports:" is awkward and seems to speaking of themselves in the third person.
Second "+++ Breaking News +++" tag line is reminiscent of common spam posts to these boards and lends a certain negative connotation to the post As I see it.
Third, the monetary aspect refers to the spam posts of which yours seemed reminiscent- where the posters friend/relative made some thousands per month from the linked website.

In addition to the traditional spam posters, there appear to be individuals who submit frequent posts linking to a company website to which they appear to have a fiduciary interest. I see that as an abuse of FA's hospitality to garner free advertising and find it distasteful.

If I have characterized your post incorrectly, allow me to apologize.

That is aside from the information content of your post.

I believe that you mischaracterize the French announcement as an 'amazing turnaround". They said they found a confirming serial # on the flapperon. An example of turnaround would be had they said prior that the part didn't come from MH370.

Regarding the search area, do you have suggestions as to where the search area be relocated, and upon what do you base your suggestion?
ChrisMKUK
You might want to read up on the prevailing currents which exist in that part of the World!
And what on earth is a serial tag?
